The Dry Needling App is a comprehensive tool tailored for dry needling practitioners. It serves as a valuable resource for both patients and therapists, featuring a detailed 3D model. Patients can pinpoint their areas of discomfort on the 3D model, enabling therapists to visualize the associated muscles causing pain in that specific region. For each muscle, therapists can access anatomical information, referred pain patterns, needling techniques, details about the appropriate needle to use illustrated with clear visuals, and additional in-depth insights.
Currently, the Dry Needling App encompasses 119 muscles commonly employed in clinical settings. Each muscle entry includes:
- Anatomy of the muscle
- Trigger Point Referral Patterns displayed on a 3D model
- Related muscles within the same pain zone
- Instructions on needling technique (needle length, references, and direction) accompanied by clear pictorial representations
- Precautions
- Multi-language support: English, French, Spanish, and Dutch
Fully responsive for both iPad and iPhone users.
